The Economic Department includes:
- Financial Accounting Department
- Payment System and Receivables Department
- Projects and Budget Department
- Independent employees for CZU taxation and Chief ED Auditor
The powers of the Economic Department include all of the accounting agendas, including taxes, i.e. the area relating to property, warehouses, receivables, projects, budgets and additional activities. The Economic Department processes received and issued invoices, bank statements, income and expense receipts, including accounting of petty expenditures, travel orders, documents for Intrastat, and finally, contracts that are in the preparatory stage are checked here in terms of financial and tax aspects. Other activities include managing a codebook of activities, filing of new contracts and financial checks (signature specimens). All of these work activities are carried out centrally as part of the “University” in the Rectorate building.
The Economic Department also collaborates with external entities, e.g. auditor, tax advisor and insurance companies, and it also prepares documents for inspection bodies and institutions.
